The Story of Pints of Sheffield
I’m Joe. Pints of Sheffield began because I love good pints and I love Sheffield.
The Instagram page started during lockdown, when pubs were shut and we were all missing the simple stuff like standing at the bar, chatting nonsense, and discovering somewhere new. What began as a way to keep the pub chat alive quickly turned into something much bigger.
Three mates in a garden for a social distanced meet up and we each brought 6 beers. This is where my love for all things weird and wonderful in the world of beer truly began. I was just a cask pale ale drinker before this.
In 2022, that passion turned into the Abbeydale Road Beer Festival. I built it with the help of the people around me, grew it over four years, and eventually handed it back to the road that brought the idea to life in the first place. Community-first, always. That's what Sheffield is all about after all.
Now, the next chapter is Pintstock. A one-day music festival with quality beer built on a really simple concept:
Great music deserves great beer, and great beer deserves great music. No gimmicks. No nonsense. Just a quality experience to share with you all.
I hope to see you at a pub soon!
